Director Accounts Payable
About the RoleA $1B+ Private Equity backed company based in Alpharetta is seeking a Director of Accounts Payable to lead and transform its enterprise-wide AP function across a rapidly growing, acquisition-driven organization.This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving standardization, automation, and scalability across a complex, multi-system environment. You’ll play a key role in helping evolve the organization toward a more unified AP infrastructure, including future-state system alignment.This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys solving complexity, building structure, and driving meaningful operational change in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.What You’ll DoLead the enterprise-wide Accounts Payable function across multiple entities, systems, and locationsDrive standardization of processes, controls, and GL mapping across a multi-system environmentPartner with leadership to transform AP operations, improving efficiency, automation, and scalabilityOversee and develop a large, geographically dispersed team (~40+)Lead integration of newly acquired businesses into consistent AP processes and systemsEstablish and track KPIs and SLAs to drive performance and accountabilityPartner closely with the Concur team to improve straight-through processing (STP) and reduce manual interventionSupport and influence system evolution and ERP alignment initiatives (including NetSuite)Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and audit readinessIdentify and execute cost savings and working capital improvementsWhat You Bring7+ years of progressive AP leadership experience in a large, multi-entity organizationProven experience managing AP across multiple ERP systems simultaneouslyExperience with NetSuite or similar cloud-based ERP systems strongly preferredExperience with Concur (Invoice and/or Expense) preferred; exposure to invoice automation tools a plusExperience leading large, geographically dispersed teamsStrong background in process improvement, automation, and scaling operationsDeep understanding of AP controls, GL structures, and multi-entity environmentsTrack record of driving cost savings and operational efficienciesDemonstrated ability to build and sustain effective teams in a dynamic environmentStrong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsRole DetailsLocation: Alpharetta, GA (3-4 days days in office)Travel: ~25% (highest in the first 90 days)Compensation: $120K–$140K base + 15% bonusWhy This RoleOpportunity to build and unify a critical function across a growing organizationHigh visibility with senior leadership and ability to drive meaningful changeDynamic, fast-paced environment with strong growth momentum
