Together, we empower our students through intentional, holistic support within flexible, innovative, and inclusive settings-preparing graduates to thrive professionally and personally, and to lead with a commitment to progress in New Jersey and beyond.JOB SUMMARYAs a tenure track member of the PsyD core faculty, the successful applicant will contribute to recruitment and administrative functions serving doctoral students as well as provide ongoing support for program accreditation; provide teaching, service and scholarship within the department and college; participate in the evaluation of PsyD students' milestone projects; and engage doctoral students in your scholarly program. Position reports to the chair of Psychology and Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. The area of specialization is open.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIESTeaching and Administrative:Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in multiple modalities; ability to teach online or willingness to learn to teach online.Develop course content, objectives, and methods of student assessment; participate in formal course and program learning assessment.Provide students with consistent and effective support and guidance through role modeling, mentoring and advising.Contribute to student success through curriculum and program development, assessment and management.Perform other teaching or teaching/administrative duties as assigned, depending on departmental and program needs.Support the PsyD program in collaboration with the faculty, department chair, dean, and other university units and personnel.Scholarship:Publish and produce scholarly works and stay current in research in the field.Service:Participate in department, college, and/or university level committees and activities designed to enhance instructional processes and/or programs and services, including accreditation activities.Serve on doctoral-level committees that support program and student needs.Performs other teaching or teaching/administrative duties as assigned, depending on departmental and program needs.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEarned doctorate in Clinical Psychology, School/Clinical Combined or Counseling Psychology;NJ licensure to practice psychology or eligible to apply for New Jersey license to practice psychology; another State license will be acceptable with expectation that the applicant will apply for NJ licensure as a clinical psychologist within 6 months of hire.Demonstrated record of scholarly productivity.Demonstrated experience and commitment to evidence-based clinical practice.Demonstrated commitment to culturally competent teaching and clinical practice.Personal attributes and traits:Demonstrated commitment to supporting student successCapable of approaching challenges with creativity and innovation.Able to freely offer expertise and meaningful feedback that impacts outcomes.Demonstrated ability to thrive in a collegial, teamwork-oriented environment.Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written formats to a diverse workforce and student body with a variety of competing wants and needs.This description indicates the general nature and level of work performed by employees in the above job.
