Inpatient Services Director RN

The Staff Pad is hiring an Inpatient Services Director to join the leadership team at a leading hospital in Las Vegas, New Mexico. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse leader who is passionate about driving operational excellence, ensuring quality patient care, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Position Overview The Inpatient Services Director provides leadership and direction for the daily operations of inpatient services departments, including Med/Surg and Telemetry . This leader will oversee program design, development, implementation, and quality initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance, high performance, and alignment with organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead daily operations of Med/Surg and Telemetry departments with a focus on quality, patient safety, and staff engagement. Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive clinical programs and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Support strategic planning and operational objectives. Manage departmental budgets, including cost forecasting and financial impact of services and initiatives. Provide leadership in staff development, mentorship, and performance management. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited BSN program; MSN preferred , or equivalent education/experience combination. 10 years of clinical experience with at least 5 years in management . Current RN license in New Mexico or Compact License. Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS required; TNCC preferred . Strong background in healthcare management, staff development, and quality initiatives. Demonstrated ability to design innovative educational programming and effectively communicate across diverse groups. Skilled in analyzing and addressing social and political trends that impact healthcare and patient education.
