If you are ready to join a company that truly cares about its employees, our members, and our community then you have come to the right place!Overview of Your RoleThis role is responsible for the collection of delinquent loan accounts and related collection issues.Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:Responsible for the collection of accounts assigned by department management, including member negative share balances, MasterCard accounts, consumer and small balance commercial loan accountsResponsible for the accurate maintenance of records that may be used in the collection of accountsAcquire and preserve knowledge of state and federal laws as they pertain to bankruptcyAcquire and preserve knowledge of state and federal laws as they pertain to foreclosureMake recommendations regarding repossessions, charge-offs, or further internal collection efforts to managementExperienced with Telephone Collection Practices Act and Fair Debt Collection Practices ActKnowledgeable with the regulations surrounding the right of offset and freezing funds with regards SSI, SSD and PensionRetain state and federal laws with regard to repossessionsWell Informed with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the CFPB as they pertain to collectionsFamiliar with rules as they apply to handling deceased membersMaintain a business relationship with outside collection attorneys, repossession agents, and other collection-related vendors to ensure accurate and timely serviceMaintain collection figures and reports as specified by the department managerPerformance will be evaluated on the following criteria: call quality, excellent member service, efficiency, and specific goals set by managementLevel 1- Fully proficient in Negative Shares as well as consumer loans 18-29 days delinquentOther duties as neededMinimum Job Qualifications:Associate's degree from accredited college or universityMinimum of 2 years telephone collection or call center environment experience preferredStarting Compensation: $18.00-$20.00/hr., plus a competitive benefits packageBilingual individuals who are fluent in a second language in addition to English are highly encouraged to apply.We are an equal opportunity employer.
