This position is located at our Astria Toppenish Hospital in the Emergency Department. Shift: Variable Shifts What you get to do every day!As the Nurse Technician, you will be under the direct supervision of a registered nurse while providing direct patient care and education to patients and their families. You will:Perform direct patient care procedures and related tasks, within licensure, as per policy. Provide patient education on health issues related to healthcare within established parameters.Assists registered nurses and other staff in caring for patients.Performs other duties as assignedCollaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.RequirementsEnrolled in Nursing education program and able to participate in the Nurse Technician program per Washington State regulationsCurrent Nurse Technician License with the state of WashingtonBasic Life Support certification.Oral and written fluency in the English language.This position is identified as a safety-sensitive position for which impairment while on the job would present a substantial risk of death.
