Role OverviewAs a Lead Infant Teacher, you are the architect of a childs first educational experiences. You will lead a classroom of our youngest learners (6 weeks to 16 months), moving beyond basic childcare to provide a high-quality, inquiry-based learning environment. Using The Goddard Schools Wonder of Learning curriculum, you will turn daily routines into "teachable moments" that foster sensory, social, and emotional development.Key ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Leadership: Create and implement weekly lesson plans that hit developmental milestones in language, cognitive, and motor skills.Nurturing Environment: Maintain a safe, clean, and "home-away-from-home" atmosphere where infants feel secure to explore.Parent Partnership: Act as a trusted partner for families, providing detailed daily reports on their childs progress, feedings, and "bright spots" of the day via our communication app.Team Collaboration: Mentor and lead Assistant Teachers to ensure the classroom runs smoothly and meets all Virginia licensing and Goddard Quality Assurance standards.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: CDA, Associates, or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related field) is preferred.Experience: Previous experience in a licensed childcare center, specifically with the infant age group.Skills: A deep understanding of infant milestones, strong communication skills, and a patient, nurturing heart.Commitment: A desire to grow professionally through Goddard Systems University and local professional development. recblid 9qkp4vkdnwcu260d70v94utahm3os7
