About the Role
Envinity is seeking an experienced Solar Site Superintendent to lead the installation of large-scale commercial solar PV systems, including both DC (module/racking) and AC (electrical interconnection) scopes.
In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee field crews and subcontractors, manage daily site operations, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all codes and standards.
This position works primarily outdoors on active construction sites and may require overnight travel. It offers strong opportunities for career growth into senior operations or project management roles.
What You’ll Do
Lead crews (5–10) and subcontractors on solar projects
Oversee installation of PV systems (racking, modules, inverters, wiring)
Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, AHJ, and company standards
Manage schedules, inspections, and job site logistics
Maintain daily logs, production tracking, and documentation
Operate and oversee job site equipment (MEWPs, telehandlers, etc.)
Perform quality control and resolve field issues, and
Lead daily JHAs, safety meetings and conduct site safety inspections and enforce safety protocols
What You Bring
5+ years of solar site leadership experience, or
10+ years of leadership experience in electrical or related trades, or
10+ years of commercial/industrial electrical contracting experience
Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and solar-specific applications
OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E certifications (required)
Electrical license (preferred)
NABCEP PV Installation Professional (PVIP) certification (preferred)
Equipment certifications (MEWP, telehandler, forklift) preferred
Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
Ability to pass criminal background checks
Ability to pass DOT physical (if required), background checks, and site-specific clearances
Proven experience with: Three-phase systems (480Y, 480D, 208Y, 240D),Switchgear, panelboards, and service interconnections, Dry-type transformers and grounding systems, Conduit sizing, routing, and installation
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple crews, subcontractors, and priorities simultaneously
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
Ability to work at heights and on ladders
Willingness to travel and stay overnight as required within Pennsyslvania
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
