The organization emphasizes professional development, performance, and inclusion in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.Role Description The Regional Director is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Chicago, IL, responsible for driving regional growth, profitability, and client satisfaction across a defined portfolio of customers and prospects. This role oversees regional sales or account management teams, sets performance targets, and ensures alignment with FIS Global’s strategic objectives. The Regional Director builds and maintains senior-level relationships with clients, identifies new business opportunities, and leads complex deal pursuits in collaboration with product, marketing, and technical teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing pipeline and forecasts, guiding territory plans, monitoring regional P&L performance, and ensuring high-quality delivery of services and solutions. The Regional Director also mentors team members, supports their career development, promotes cross-functional collaboration, and represents the company at key industry events and client meetings.Qualifications Proven experience in regional or multi-site leadership within financial technology, financial services, or a related B2B environment.Strong background in sales, account management, or business development, including strategic planning and pipeline management.Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, set regional targets, and use data-driven insights to improve performance.Excellent stakeholder management, including building executive-level client relationships and leading complex negotiations.Skilled in leading, coaching, and developing diverse, high-performing teams in a matrixed or global organization.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.High level of comfort working in a fast-paced, changing environment with competing priorities and multiple initiatives.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.Familiarity with financial technology solutions, digital payments, banking systems, or capital markets platforms is highly desirable.Ability to travel within the region and occasionally beyond, as business needs require.
