Local Truck Driver

LOCAL DELIVERY DRIVER Do you want to work for a company where the people are the purpose? Grimco is seeking a reliable and energetic individual to join our team as a Local Courier Driver. As a key member of our final mile logistics team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting packages to and from our warehouse location in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, proficient communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: · Safely transport various items, including substrates, packages, and sensitive materials. · Ensure timely delivery of all items to their designated locations. · Collect proof of deliveries. · Follow assigned routes and schedules. · Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations. · Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. · Handle packages with care to avoid damage or loss. · Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues. · Report any incidents or issues encountered during deliveries. · Assist with loading and unloading items from the vehicle when necessary. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Smart Phone with GPS. · Valid Class E or C driver's license and clean driving record. · DOT certification is a plus. · Proven experience as a courier or delivery driver is preferred. · Knowledge of route planning. · Strong customer service skills. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: · Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing 70+ pounds on a frequent basis. · Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily.
