CNC Programmer
Treetop Staffing is seeking a CNC Programmer for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established aerospace manufacturing organization located in Clifton, New Jersey. This position is responsible for developing, validating, and maintaining CNC programs used to machine precision aerospace components in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate will have experience programming CNC machines in aerospace or precision manufacturing and a strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Develop, validate, and maintain CNC programs for milling, turning, and multi-axis machining centersInterpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and GD&T in accordance with aerospace standardsCreate machining strategies that account for casting variability while maintaining tight dimensional tolerancesSelect tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies suitable for aerospace alloys and critical componentsSupport First Article Inspection (FAI) processes in accordance with AS9102 requirementsParticipate in process validation activities including capability studies (Cp/Cpk) when requiredMaintain program documentation, revision history, and configuration control recordsCollaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve machining issues and implement corrective actionsSupport internal and external quality auditsEnsure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory proceduresAdditional Responsibilities:Develop machining programs for near-net shape investment castings with variable stock allowancesAccount for casting tolerances, distortion, and metallurgical considerationsCoordinate with manufacturing and quality teams regarding casting defects such as porosity or inclusionsEnsure critical features meet engineering and customer specificationsThis position may involve access to export-controlled technical data. Candidates must be U.S. Persons as defined by U.S. export control regulations (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under U.S. law), unless proper authorization is obtained.Qualifications:EducationAssociate degree or higher in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferredExperience3–5+ years of CNC programming experience in aerospace or precision manufacturingExperience machining cast components strongly preferredExperience working in AS9100-certified manufacturing environments preferredTechnical SkillsProficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, NX, Fusion 360, or similarStrong understanding of GD&T and aerospace drawing interpretationExperience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis machiningKnowledge of aerospace materials such as stainless steel, titanium, and nickel-based alloysFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems and digital travelersUnderstanding of process validation and statistical process control (SPC)Manufacturing environment with exposure to machining equipment, metal chips, coolant, and temperature variationsMust comply with all safety and PPE requirementsTreetop Staffing partners with leading manufacturing organizations to identify skilled professionals who thrive in precision, quality-driven environments.
