In this role, the engineer designs, implements, and optimizes signal processing algorithms for applications such as communications, sensing, data acquisition, and embedded systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing raw signals, developing filtering and detection techniques, performing simulation and modeling, and validating system performance through lab testing and data analysis. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to define requirements, integrate signal processing solutions into hardware and software platforms, and document designs, test procedures, and results. This role also involves troubleshooting system behavior, refining algorithms for robustness and efficiency, and contributing to continuous improvement of tools, workflows, and product quality.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong signal processing fundamentals, including experience with filtering, spectral analysis, sampling theory, and algorithm development.Candidates should possess programming and scripting skills, such as proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar languages for modeling, simulation, and implementation.Candidates should possess experience with tools and platforms commonly used in signal processing, such as numerical computing environments, DSP frameworks, and version control systems.Candidates should possess data analysis and modeling skills, including handling large datasets, statistical analysis, and performance characterization of algorithms and systems.Candidates should possess hardware and systems integration capabilities, such as working with sensors, data acquisition equipment, embedded systems, or communication interfaces.Candidates should possess strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to multidisciplinary teams.Relevant qualifications include a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.Beneficial experience includes work in communications, radar, audio, biomedical signals, or other specialized signal processing domains, as well as familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.
