Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality System Engineer to join their team. As a Quality System Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Quality Department supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Pay Range:Up to $105,000
What's the Job?
Manage, review, and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System to ensure ongoing compliance and readiness for audits.
Lead internal and external audits, identify areas for improvement, and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to uphold quality standards throughout manufacturing processes.
Maintain quality records, specifications, and certifications, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AASHTO (Rebar).
Manage non-conformance reporting systems, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement activities using proven methodologies.
What's Needed?
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a quality-focused role, with knowledge of ISO 9001; familiarity with IATF 16949 is advantageous.
Audit management experience; ISO 9001 lead auditor certification is preferred, with internal auditor certification as a minimum.
Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and experience with Power BI.
Understanding of quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, Six Sigma, 8D, 5 Why, and related methodologies.
Experience working in the Steel or Wire Rod industry, with familiarity with OEM/Customer technical requirements, is a plus.
