About the RoleWe are looking for an Install Department Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is ready to take ownership of both people and process. In this role you will lead a team of skilled installers while ensuring every installation meets the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and professionalism.ResponsibilitiesMentor and develop the installation team, stepping into the field to participate in installations and strikes, especially on high-profile projects.Collaborate closely with engineering, shop management, and operations to interpret drawings and specifications, conduct site visits, and build project schedules.Plan logistics, allocate resources, and keep projects on track and within budget.Lead from the front when challenges arise: solve problems quickly, communicate clearly, and keep both team members and stakeholders aligned.Build and implement systems and standards, improve workflows, and shape processes that increase efficiency and consistency across projects.Manage tool inventory, coordinate travel logistics, and ensure compliance with safety standards and labor regulations.QualificationsAt least five years of experience managing teams.Deep, hands-on understanding of wood fabrication and installation methods, including materials such as wood, solid surface, plastic, laminates, and metal.Comfortable reading architectural drawings, building schedules, and leading teams through complex installs.Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.Experience in design-led industries, familiarity with CAD or ERP systems, and knowledge of labor laws.BenefitsThis is not a desk-only role; it's a hybrid of office planning and field execution that requires flexibility, travel, and willingness to work nights, weekends, or holidays when projects demand it.
