Instrument & Electrical TechnicianLocation: Gales Ferry, CTSchedule: Monday – FridayCompensation: $30.00 – $35.00/hour, based on experiencePosition Type: Full-Time | On-SiteAbout the OpportunityOur client, a manufacturing company in the chemical/plastics industry, is seeking an experienced Instrument & Electrical Technician to support maintenance operations at their Gales Ferry, CT facility.This is a hands-on role focused on troubleshooting, maintaining, calibrating, and improving electrical and instrumentation systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This is a strong opportunity for an early-career E-2 licensed electrician who wants to build hands-on experience in instrumentation, PLC troubleshooting, process controls, and plant electrical maintenance within a stable manufacturing environment.What You'll DoTroubleshoot and diagnose electrical, instrumentation, PLC, and control system issuesPerform repairs and corrective actions on electrical and instrument systemsMaintain electrical hardware, typically up to 480VCalibrate process instruments according to applicable standardsIdentify and replace DCS/PLC hardware components, cards, and related equipmentTroubleshoot and make updates to PLC software as neededOperate and maintain electrical and instrumentation testing equipmentSupport preventative maintenance activities for electrical and instrument systemsPlan, prioritize, and schedule maintenance work with supervisors and techniciansReview reliability data and help identify opportunities for cost reduction and equipment improvementSpecify, requisition, install, and support instrumentation components measuring flow, temperature, pressure, and related process variablesServe as an electrical subject matter expert on capital project reviewsFollow all plant safety, maintenance, and compliance proceduresWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma requiredE-2 Unlimited Journeyperson certification required2+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician in a manufacturing environment preferredExperience as an Instrument Technician in a manufacturing environment preferredExperience with PLCs, DCS hardware, electrical troubleshooting, and process instrumentationAbility to work safely around electrical systems and industrial equipmentComfortable working outdoors in inclement weather when neededAbility to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs. as neededStrong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skillsCompensation & Benefits$30.00 – $35.00/hour, based on experience401(k) with company matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceProfit-sharing opportunityStable full-time schedule with expected overtime as needed
