OverviewSenior Engineer- Guidewire ClaimCenter (Contract)Number of positions: 1, 6-month initial contract with potential extensionLocation: anywhere in Canada; if close to an office of the client, 2d/w onsiteMust be eligible work in CanadaResponsibilitiesLooking to hire a Senior developer with robust Guidewire ClaimCenter. Operating within a Guidewire Cloud (Mammoth version) setting, you will develop, implement, and maintain a complex ecosystem of business applications. Agile framework experience is a must.Design & Development: Lead the design and development of complex application features, acting as the technical lead for medium-to-large initiatives.Solution Architecture: Collaborate with solution analysts and business stakeholders to produce technical designs that align with enterprise standards.SDLC Ownership: Manage the software development process from user story decomposition and requirement review through to final delivery.Code Quality: Conduct peer code and design reviews, providing coaching to junior team members to maintain high-quality coding standards.Integration & Configuration: Develop and configure software within existing enterprise platforms, managing dependencies across integrated systems and data.Quality Assurance: Ensure robust delivery through the creation and execution of automated tests and the enhancement of existing testing frameworks.QualificationsAt least 5 years of hands-on experience in Guidewire application development specifically on the Guidewire platform, with a focus on ClaimCenter.Cloud Proficiency: Experience with Guidewire Cloud is highly preferred; being Guidewire Certified (Associate or ACE) is a significant asset.Technical Stack: Robust skills in GOSU, web services, and database management. Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, TeamCity, Jira, and Confluence is an asset.Industry Knowledge: Previous experience within the Insurance industry is a major plus.Soft Skills: Proven ability to foster teamwork, excellent analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.EducationPost-secondary degree or diploma in Software Development or a related field.J-18808-Ljbffr
