What this job involves: As an Electrical Specialist at JLL, you'll serve as a crucial technical expert responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems across commercial properties. This role places you at the heart of ensuring operational excellence and safety for our clients' facilities. You'll work independently and as part of a collaborative team to diagnose complex electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and execute repairs that keep critical building systems running smoothly. You'll have opportunities to work on diverse electrical systems and equipment, continuously expanding your technical knowledge while delivering exceptional service that reflects JLL's commitment to innovation and excellence in facility management.What your day to day will look like:Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems in accordance with relevant codes and safety standardsPerform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become critical problemsTroubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing equipment such as multimeters, circuit testers, and thermal imaging camerasRespond promptly to emergency electrical issues to minimize downtime and ensure building occupant safety and comfortRead and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics to plan and execute installation and repair projectsCollaborate with facility management teams, engineers, and external contractors to coordinate electrical work and system upgradesDocument all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Ensure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and JLL safety protocols on every jobRequired qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of a recognized electrician apprenticeship program or technical trainingValid state electrician's license (Journeyman or Master Electrician certification as required by local jurisdiction)Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial electrical maintenance and repairComprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes and regulationsProficiency in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagramsStrong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues efficientlyPhysical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights on ladders and lifts, and access confined spaces as neededValid driver's license with a clean driving record for travel between client sitesPreferred qualifications:Master Electrician license or relevant advanced certificationsExperience working in commercial real estate, healthcare, or large-scale facility environmentsKnowledge of building automation systems (BAS), energy management systems, and LED lighting retrofitsFamiliarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as Maximo or similar platformsOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification demonstrating commitment to workplace safetyExperience with renewable energy systems, solar installations, or electric vehicle charging infrastructure
