Maintenance
We are looking for a Hotel Engineering/Maintenance Manager to take care of our hotel's infrastructure (e.g. buildings, electricity, plumbing, etc.). You will manage maintenance personnel and plan various renovation and repair projects. In this role, you should be organized and proactive. Familiarity with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems is essential. If you're also committed to meeting health and safety standards, we'd like to meet you. Your goal will be to ensure our hotel premises are safe and functional for guests and employees alike, while upholding brand standards.Responsibilities:Responsible for the inspection, repairs, and maintenance of a variety of hotel systems and equipmentBe able to work on a team or alone and observe all health and safety guidelinesMaintain the building, guest rooms, and common areas in the best possible conditionOrganize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guestsPlan and oversee renovations and constructionAct fast to resolve emergency issues (e.g. power outages)Recognize, report, and correct potential safety hazards (broken doors or railings, fire hazards, etc.) and notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and disturbancesComplete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile floor maintenance and repairsComplete painting, minor roof repairs, and other exterior projectsComplete exercise room and equipment repairs, if necessaryOngoing involvement in preventative maintenance programsWork with General Manager and Housekeeping Director to identify and accomplish all technical and skilled related projectsManage relationships with contractors and service providersMaintain budgets, expenses and activity logsWhen required, report to Hotel in inclement weather conditions for maintenance of Hotel's exterior (snow shoveling, ice melting, etc.)While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of timeWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 poundsMay require flexible scheduling availability, as based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factorsBenefitsPaid time offEmployee discountPaid training
