Shasta Elementary School Math Interventionist Teacher (Grades 1-6)
Position SummaryThe Math Interventionist provides targeted academic support to students in grades 1-6 who are performing below grade-level expectations in mathematics and are not currently identified for special education services. This position focuses on accelerating student growth through evidence-based interventions, collaboration with classroom teachers, and active participation in the Student Intervention Team (SIT) process.The interventionist plays a key role in supporting the school's multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) by delivering Tier II and Tier III interventions, monitoring progress, and helping ensure that all students have access to meaningful learning opportunities within the general education setting.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstruction & InterventionProvide small-group and/or individualized math intervention aligned to grade-level standardsUse research-based strategies to address foundational math skill gapsDifferentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning stylesSupport student engagement and build confidence in mathematics.Progress Monitoring & DataCollect, analyze, and maintain detailed records of student progressUse data to adjust interventions and inform instructional decisionsPrepare documentation for SIT meetings and communicate progress with staff and families.CollaborationWork closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrationBuild positive relationships with students, staff, and familiesEffectively navigate and collaborate with a variety of personalities and professional styles.RequiredValid Oregon teaching license (or ability to obtain)Strong knowledge of elementary math content and instructional strategiesExperience working with struggling learnersAbility to organize and maintain detailed documentation and data systemsStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Working ConditionsSchool-based position working with students in small group and classroom settingsFrequent collaboration with staff and participation in team meetingsRequires consistent documentation and progress monitoring.Position to begin in the 2026/2027 school year.COMPENSATION:190 day contractFamily medical, dental and vision insurance6% PERS paid by District$54,498-99,598/Annual
