Detailed Job Description: Lead Platform Engineer (DevOps Automation) | Hybrid | San Francisco, CA Location:San Francisco, CA (4 days per week Hybrid Onsite) Duration:9–12 Months Contract About the Role We are looking for aSenior DevOps Automation Engineer / Lead Platform Engineerto driveautomation, reliability, and scalabilityacross a complex hybrid cloud environment. This is ahands-on rolefocused on buildingautomation frameworks, scalable CI/CD pipelines, and observability solutions , while enabling engineering teams throughself-service platforms and improved developer experience . You will work acrossMicrosoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Akamai (edge delivery), and CI/CD platforms such as Opsera, Jenkins, and GitHub , along with observability tools likeDynatrace and Splunk . Key Responsibilities Automation & Platform Engineering Design and buildend-to-end automation frameworksfor infrastructure provisioning and application deployment DriveInfrastructure as Code (IaC)adoption using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or similar tools Automatecross-cloud workflowsacross Azure and OCI environments CI/CD & Release Engineering Architect and optimizeCI/CD pipelinesusing Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Opsera Enablezero-touch deployments , rollback strategies, and progressive delivery (blue/green, canary) Standardize pipeline templates and enforce best practices across teams Cloud & Edge Engineering Buildscalable and resilient architecturesacross Azure and OCI Integrate and automateedge delivery and routing using Akamai Optimize cloud usage forcost, performance, and reliability Observability & Reliability Integrate automation withDynatrace and Splunk Enableautomated alerting, self-healing workflows, and SLO-driven operations Improve telemetry acrosslogs, metrics, and traces Developer Experience (DevEx) Buildreusable frameworks and self-service capabilitiesfor engineering teams Reduce deployment friction and improvedeveloper productivity Collaborate with SRE, platform, and application teams to drive reliability improvements Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience inDevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering Strong hands-on experience with: Terraform / Infrastructure as Code CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Opsera) Cloud platforms (Azure required, OCI preferred) Experience withKubernetes and containerized environments Strong understanding ofobservability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk) Proven ability to buildscalable, reusable automation solutions Nice to Have Experience withAkamai (CDN / Edge delivery) Exposure tomulti-cloud environments (Azure + OCI) Working at GSPANN GSPANN is a diverse, prosperous, and rewarding place to work.
