DescriptionThe Worker's Compensation Historian is responsible for obtaining a complete historical and comprehensive narrative of the examinees work related injury, treatment and present complaints.Duties And ResponsibilitiesMust have experience with Med-Legal Worker's Compensation reportingMust have thorough understanding of AMC Guides 5th edition and Labor codes 4663 & 4664Excellent reading, comprehension, writing and grammar skillsMust be well versed with anatomic and medical terminologyStrong organizational skills, detailed-oriented, and ability to handle multiple taskMust exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgment, initiative and high standard of ethics.Must possess high attention to detailExcellent interviewing and social skillsRequirementsQualifications:1 to 2 years' work experience in Workers Compensation casesExperience in Orthopedics and Pain Management preferredDependable and organizedAbility to multi-task, prioritize and follow up on assignmentsSelf-starter, proactive and works well with little supervisionExcellent analytical skills, likes to be accurate and attention to detailIntermediate or higher skill level in WordPerfect and/or Word officeAssociates degree or higherBilingual is a plus, not essential
