We need YOU!Where the chemistry happens…We are seeking a professional like you who will be responsible for contributing to develop, implement, and monitor strategy for bulk transportation categories – liquid and dry bulk.Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, preparation and execution of Requests for Quotation (RFQ); contract negotiation, implementation and monitoring; category management; leadership/contribution of projects; execution of supplier and risk management.You will interact with Business Units, Distribution & Transport Operations, Lead Logistics Providers and Transportation Providers to bring end-to-end transportation solutions that will improve service levels and support growth.As a Regional Category Buyer, You Create Chemistry By...Overseeing the procurement of liquid and dry bulk transportation, as well as analyzing provider bids, contract nuances, supply chain costs, and service analytics. Communicating business unit needs and providing market knowledge (e.g., supply market structure and dynamics, supplier strategies, pricing structures, opportunities, and threats) to the Regional Category Manager. Preparing and executing RFQs in collaboration with the Regional Category Manager, incorporating business unit requirements, negotiation roles, a list of suppliers, and alternatives to be negotiated into agreements. Managing contracts and determining appropriate actions; informing relevant parties (e.g., Shared Service Center, business units) about negotiation results; managing supply issues. You will also be the escalation point for Non-Conformance Management (NCM). Providing support and guidance on carrier invoicing disputes and managing data loading into various systems to capture rates, bids, contract boilerplates, etc. Executing Supplier Management according to plans developed with the Regional Category Manager, managing relationships with key suppliers, evaluating supplier performance, and driving supplier innovation.
