About the Opportunity:The L3 Network Support Engineer will act as a senior technical resource within the advanced support team. This fully remote role focuses on managing and troubleshooting complex networking environments to ensure infrastructure stability and performance. The position is essential for resolving critical IT issues, supporting junior technical staff, and contributing to strategic infrastructure deployments. The role plays a key part in minimizing business disruption and improving client IT operations.3. Responsibilities:• Serve as the escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 help-desk technicians, resolving complex technical issues and mentoring junior staff• Troubleshoot, configure, and manage advanced routing, switching, LAN, and WAN environments• Diagnose and resolve high-level system, server, and network outages to maximize uptime• Assist in deploying, migrating, and upgrading client infrastructure with focus on networking hardware and cloud integrations• Maintain detailed documentation of client networks, configurations, and standard operating procedures4. Requirements:• 3 to 5+ years of hands-on networking and advanced IT support experience, preferably within an MSP environment• Must reside in the Continental United States; Pacific or Central time zone candidates preferred but not required• CompTIA Network+ certification required; Cisco CCNA or equivalent preferred or to be earned within 6 months of hire• Additional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Fortinet NSE4+, SonicWall SNSA, Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), or Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (MS-102) are desirable• Practical experience with routing, switching, LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall management (Fortinet, SonicWall, Cisco, Meraki)• Experience with Datto Networking (APs, switches) and data recovery during outages is a strong advantage• Familiarity with Datto BCDR, Veeam, or Barracuda is a plus• Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Office/Microsoft 365, and virtualization technologies (VMware / Hyper-V)• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and/or AWS• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment• Strong communication, time management, and collaboration skills• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical users5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• Competitive salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year• Quarterly bonus eligibility of up to 4% by meeting departmental KPIs and metrics, potentially adding $13,600 - $15,200 annually6.
