Electromechanical TechnicianLocation: 2200 NW 112 Ave, Miami, FLCompany: Badia SpicesShift: Monday to Thursday from 6:00 am to 3:30 pmJob DescriptionBadia Spices is seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to support our production operations by ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems across production lines.You will work closely with Production, Quality, and Safety teams to minimize downtime, improve equipment performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to production line calls and provide timely technical supportTroubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsPerform preventive maintenance (inspections, lubrication, adjustments, part replacement)Maintain and support equipment such as conveyors, mixers, fillers, and packaging machinesTroubleshoot motors, sensors, relays, contactors, and control componentsAssist with line setups, changeovers, and equipment startupsRead and interpret basic electrical diagrams and mechanical drawingsDocument maintenance activities, repairs, and downtime causes in work ordersEnsure compliance with GMP, food safety standards, and Lockout/Tagout proceduresIdentify and report safety hazards and equipment issuesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (required)Technical certification or Associate’s degree in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field (preferred)2–4 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience (preferred)Technical Skills Experience with:Production and packaging equipmentMotors, conveyors, and sensorsPneumatic and hydraulic systemsBasic knowledge of electrical systems (motor controls, relays, wiring, PLC I/O)Mechanical knowledge (bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pumps, valves)Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentAbility to read electrical and mechanical diagramsSkills & CompetenciesStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and teamworkAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and safetyPreferred QualificationsExperience in food manufacturing or GMP-regulated environmentExperience with CMMS or maintenance systemsBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plusBenefitsCompetitive payCareer growth opportunitiesStable and collaborative work environmentTraining and development opportunities
