Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Speech Language Pathologist Location: Phoenix, AZ Schedule / Job Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat residents with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments. Administer and interpret specialized hearing and speech tests. Educate residents, families, and caregivers on monitoring and practicing new communication skills. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care in a skilled nursing facility setting. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and maintain resident privacy at all times. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology. Current license in Speech Language Therapy as mandated by state law. Valid CPR certification. Six months of experience in a long-term care environment preferred. Preferred Experience / Skills Knowledge of geriatric clinical needs and effective speech therapy techniques. Strong clinical skills and the ability to develop creative, individualized treatment strategies.
