In this role, you'll serve as a subject matter expert for production equipment, performing advanced maintenance, repairs, and rebuilds to support safety, quality, and production goals. What You'll Do as an Production Maintenance Equipment Technician: Perform complex repairs, rebuilds, and modifications on advanced production machineryFabricate parts using machining equipment such as lathes, mills, welders, grinders, and drill pressesTroubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and electrical equipment issues independentlyAssist with installation of new equipment and relocation of existing equipmentCollaborate with outside vendors and internal teams to resolve equipment defectsServe as a technical resource; train, coach, and mentor other team membersFollow all safety procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out, and maintain a clean work areaWhat You Need to Bring to the Role: High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent job-related experience required. Trade school education (1–2 years) preferredMechanical troubleshooting experience on automated manufacturing equipment and industrial maintenance experienceStrong mechanical ability and ability to read blueprints and wiring diagramsExperience using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures)Strong math skills, including fractions and percentagesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work 12-hour shiftsComfortable working around loud noise and occasional outdoor conditions (PPE provided)Ability to pass a pre-employment, post-offer comprehensive assessment #metrocareersReady to Apply?Click "Apply Now" to complete our quick, mobile-friendly application.
