Procurement OfficerLocation: Miami, FL - On-siteA well-established manufacturing organization in Miami is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist to support purchasing operations, vendor management, and inventory coordination.This role plays a key part in ensuring materials are sourced efficiently, deliveries stay on track, and inventory aligns with production demands. The right candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working across departments to keep operations running smoothly.Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Supplier ManagementPlan and manage procurement activities to support production and operational needsSource, evaluate, and maintain supplier relationships while managing the Approved Supplier List (ASL)Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and agreements to drive cost savings and efficiencyObtain and compare vendor quotes to ensure competitive pricing and qualityPurchasing & Order ManagementPrepare and issue purchase orders, change notices, and vendor agreementsOversee the full procurement lifecycle from purchase intent through delivery and PO closureSupport bids, contracts, and proposals for internal and legal reviewTrack vendor performance, including on-time delivery and service levelsInventory & Production CoordinationMaintain inventory levels, track availability, and generate reports as neededCoordinate delivery schedules in line with production plansMonitor stock levels and escalate risks impacting availabilityParticipate in monthly inventory counts and reconciliationOperations & ReportingInvestigate and resolve discrepancies between supplier invoices and purchase ordersRecord all incoming materials in the system on a daily basisMaintain accurate procurement records and documentationSupport process improvements across procurement and supply chain functionsQualifications3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations (flexible based on overall experience)Strong background in vendor management, supplier negotiations, and purchasing processesExperience working with ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred)Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills across internal teams and external vendorsBilingual English/Spanish preferredPreferred BackgroundExperience in manufacturing, distribution, or high-volume environmentsExposure to inventory control and production planningLean / Six Sigma experience is a plusWhat's OfferedCompetitive compensation packageComprehensive benefitsStable, well-established organization with strong operations in South FloridaCollaborative, hands-on environment with visibility across operationsOpportunity for long-term growth within procurement and supply chain
