As a Cougar Sports Staff Writer, you will be responsible for weekly sports recaps for one of the 17 universities' sponsored sports in addition to feature stories on a sport of the writer's choice. Tasks include researching and writing articles, covering live events, conducting interviews, and collaborating with the editorial team. The role also requires active participation in monthly meetings and staying up-to-date with Houston sports. This position offers a flexible schedule, and interns will work to build a strong portfolio.QualificationsExperience in writing, with a demonstrated passion for a variety of sportsAbility to meet tight deadlinesStrong communication skills, including the ability to interview athletes and coaches effectivelyCurrent Houston area college student or graduate
