Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented 3rd Shift Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This vital role involves operating, monitoring, and maintaining various machinery to ensure efficient production processes during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will be passionate about precision manufacturing, possess strong mechanical skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a 3rd Shift Machine Operator, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality products while adhering to safety standards and production schedules. Duties Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, and press brake machines with precision and confidence. Set up and adjust machinery using technical drawings, blueprints, CAD files, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate production runs. Program CNC machines utilizing CAM programming and CNC programming techniques to optimize machine performance and product quality. Perform routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards. Conduct troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment to minimize downtime during shift. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment; assist with warehouse organization and packaging as needed. Follow safety protocols diligently, maintain a clean work environment, and document production activities accurately in shift reports. Skills Proficiency with Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine operation and troubleshooting. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in fabrication, welding, tooling setup, and assembly line processes. Skilled in blueprint reading, CAD design (SolidWorks preferred), CAM programming, and CNC machining operations including CNC milling machines and CNC lathes. Experience operating stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and other manufacturing equipment. Ability to use hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and basic math skills for measurement verification. Knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications; familiarity with GD&T standards is a plus. Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience with materials handling, packaging, fabrication or assembly line work is highly desirable. Strong safety awareness combined with the ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high productivity levels.
