FlexSteel embodies teamwork with a focus on hiring top talent and developing employees.SUMMARY* The HSE Admin supports daily Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) operations within a manufacturing environment by executing compliance activities, maintaining HSE systems, and supporting field-level safety engagement. This role is responsible for ensuring consistency in inspections, data tracking, and corrective action follow-up while maintaining a visible presence in the field. The position is designed to support operational execution and provide real-world experience in safety systems, environmental compliance, and manufacturing processes.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Environmental & Regulatory Support:Perform routine stormwater inspections and maintain MSGP documentationConduct hazardous waste inspections and verify proper storage, labeling, and handlingSupport chemical storage compliance and identify gapsMaintain environmental logs and records to ensure regulatory complianceAudits, Inspections & Field VerificationConduct routine safety and compliance inspections using established audit toolsVerify conditions in the field (housekeeping, guarding, PPE, storage practices, etc.)Document findings and track corrective actions to closureEscalate unresolved or high-risk issues to HSE leadershipHSE System & Data Management (Gensuite / Tracking)Enter and maintain events (injuries, near misses, property damage)Track corrective actions (ATS), monitor aging items, and follow up on overdue items to support timely closure.Maintain accuracy of HSE data and support reporting metricsAssist in development and maintenance of tracking dashboardsLeadership Execution SupportTrack weekly safety activities completed by supervisors (observations, hazard hunts, conversationsIdentify gaps in participation and follow up to ensure completionPage 2 of 4Maintain and update tracking dashboardsProvide summaries to support coaching and accountabilityFollow up with responsible individuals to ensure completion of assigned safety actions and escalate delays as neededField Presence & Operational SupportMaintain regular presence on the manufacturing floorSupport hazard identification and reinforce safe work practicesAssist supervisors with JSA usage and basic safety expectationsObserve work and report potential risks or process gapsProgram & Administrative SupportAssist in development and documentation of HSE standard workSupport scheduling, tracking, and organization of HSE activitiesQualifications RequiredCurrently enrolled in a degree program (Safety, Environmental, Industrial, or related field)Strong organizational and follow-up skillsAbility to work in both oice and manufacturing environmentsWillingness to engage with frontline employees and supervisorsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
