Surveillance, CCTV & Security Installation Technician

Whether you are an experienced pro or a tech-savvy individual with a strong motivation to learn, this company offers excellent training and a clear path for professional development.In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and service of IP surveillance, security systems, and access control infrastructure across commercial job sites.Key Responsibilities:Installation & Service: Install, configure, and troubleshoot IP cameras and surveillance systems.Security Integration: Assist with the installation of Intrusion Detection and Access Control systems.Field Operations: Work on job sites throughout the Greater Hampton Roads and Richmond areas.Safety & Compliance: Utilize power tools and work on ladders safely, strictly adhering to all safety protocols.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service calls and installation progress.Qualifications & Requirements:Surveillance Experience: Experience installing and servicing IP surveillance systems is required. (Experience with Hanwha, Samsung, or Axis equipment is a strong plus).Technical Aptitude: Strong computer and networking skills are essential for IP-based systems.Licensing: Ability to pass a background check and become DCJS licensed.Tools & Mobility: Must own basic industry tools and possess a reliable vehicle with a valid driver's license.Physical: Comfortable working on ladders and using power tools in a construction/commercial environment.Soft Skills: Professional appearance, excellent communication skills, and a responsive, client-first attitude.Preferred Skills (Plus, but not required):Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems and/or Access Control Systems.Background in structured cabling or Audio/Visual (AV) installation.Manufacturer-specific training or certifications.Familiarity with general construction techniques.
