METER Group, Inc. is seeking a Temporary Inventory Clerk. The Temp Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining records of materials in inventory and on order, monitoring reorder points, initiating inventory orders, reconciling discrepancies in inventory under supervision, and notifying management of irregularities. Maintaining a proper inventory flow that supports production, adhering to company inventory standards, and making recommendations to improve processes, procedures, and policies relating to inventory management are also key elements of this role. This position requires frequent motion between sitting and standing in a manufacturing environment.This position is expected to work 40 hours per week but has temporary status. The anticipated duration of this role is approximately 6 months.This role works from our Pullman, WA office.Wage range: $17 - $18 per hour. Offers will be made inside this range depending on the experience and abilities of the candidate.Responsibilities:Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between inventory locations into the ERP system.Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing.Fill inventory requests as required.Receive and deliver inventory to appropriate location and personnel.Assemble kits.Monitor and stock supply shelves.Input daily transaction logs into spreadsheet.Minimum Qualifications:Attention to detailReliable with a strong work ethicService oriented and personableHigh school-level proficiency in mathBasic proficiency with Microsoft Excel Demonstrated organizational skillsAbility to lift and carry up to 40 poundsAbility to lift 25 pounds overheadHigh school graduate or equivalent GEDMust have the legal right to work in the United StatesMust live within a commutable distance to Pullman, WAPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience working in inventory controlCertified forklift operator or willingness to acquire certificationWork environment Light manufacturing and warehousing facilitiesPhysical RequirementsThe types of skills necessary for this position are not complex but usually include the ability tomonitor and perform repetitive tasks. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance withestablished operating procedures and practices. Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds and lift 25 pounds overhead. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time during the workday.
