Our commitment extends to creating a workplace that values teamwork, celebrates diversity, promotes equity, and guarantees equal access to information, development, and opportunities for all healthcare professionals.Position OverviewThe primary objective of this role is to conduct a range of imaging procedures, such as CT scans and X-rays, at a technical level that does not necessitate constant supervision.Essential Job FunctionsOffer technical support and patient care to assist physicians, nurses, and other staff in addressing the needs of patients throughout the facility.Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment, including but not limited to X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS.Conduct all imaging examinations in line with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws, ensuring the physician on duty is informed of the results.Carry out basic clinical procedures under the guidance of the physician and/or nurse on duty.Keep all necessary documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in both paper and electronic formats.Collect laboratory samples and perform testing in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulations.Ensure an adequate supply of all reagents and consumables for quality testing.Perform routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks on all imaging equipment following established protocols.Conduct Quality Control as mandated by the laboratory.Engage in Proficiency Testing and/or Split Sample analysis periodically as required by the facility.Maintain records of all analytical activities for a minimum of two years.Execute all Quality Assessment activities assigned to this role and document these for periodic review by the Laboratory Supervisor and/or Laboratory Director.Other Job FunctionsFulfill duties as an ER Technician as necessary.Ensure an adequate supply of all reagents and consumables for quality testing.Conduct routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment as per established protocols.Travel to various facility locations as required.Participate in staff meetings or other company-sponsored or mandated gatherings as necessary.Perform additional tasks as assigned.Basic QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED is required.Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program is required.Associate's Degree in Radiology is preferred.Certification as a medical radiologic technologist as mandated by the state of practice is required.Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography is required.Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in computed tomography is preferred.CT certification is required within 12 months of hire (specific to Pennsylvania market).Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.2+ years of experience in radiology/imaging is preferred.1+ years of CT experience is preferred.1+ years of experience in an emergency room setting is preferred.Proficiency with various X-ray/CT equipment, manufacturer's hardware/software, and PACS is essential.Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required.For candidates in Pennsylvania: Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance) and Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) must be completed within the last 5 years or obtained prior to the start date.
