Job DescriptionFor a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.Job DescriptionSLS Industrial Services is seeking a motivated individual with leadership, management and organizational skills to run our crew and welding shop.General Description:Read drawings and manuals to establish task procedures. Use rigging equipment, hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools for placing and transporting heavy machines. Fit, align and attached mechanical components. Test equipment for efficiency and make adjustments when necessary. Complete inspections and replace defective equipment. Service hydraulic systems. Maintain inventory of parts used during fabrication and/or installation. Perform routine machine maintenance. Ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge, exceptional team management skills and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, problem solving and continuous improvement.Lead and supervise crew. Manage rebuilds, upgrades and major projects with customer.Skills:Communication, active listening, problem solving, time management, attention to detail, fine motor skills, physical strength. Must have prior supervision experience.5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and wastewater systems.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentMust have a valid drivers license with insurable MVRWork Environment: Food processing facilities including manufacturing and power plants. Work will be both indoors and outdoors. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of basic PPE and safety regulations.
