ControllerPosition located in Franklinton, LAApply at https://mageefinancial.com/careersMagee Holdings, LLC, a leader in the consumer lending and real estate industry for over 65 years, is in search of an experienced Controller to lead our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a senior accounting role and must be skilled in the financial reporting process, payroll, financial analysis, and budgeting. Strong communication ability with the leadership team is a must.Responsibilities• Oversee and support the accounting team with an environment of trust, accuracy, and productivity.• Provide comprehensive financial statements and updates for all business entities.• Evaluate, analyze, and report trends with possible opportunities.• Implement accounting policies and adhere to national and local standards while remaining knowledgeable on proposed legislation.• Monitor the company’s cash flow.• Maintain a working relationship with the outside CPA and provide precise documentation for review and tax preparations.• Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.• Process payroll in a timely manner.• Ensure timely invoice payments.• Review and/or perform periodic bank reconciliations.• Willingness to perform a variety of other functions that may be needed.Required Skills• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or related field.• Five or more years of experience in senior-level accounting role.• Strong understanding of banking processes and financial analysis.• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance reporting. Experience managing payroll.
