Job Description Freight Sales ExecutiveNew Business Development | Individual Contributor | Uncapped CommissionAbout the RoleWe are seeking a high-performing Freight Sales Executive to drive new business and revenue growth across our transportation solutions. This is a revenue-generating individual contributor role responsible for building and growing your own book of freight business by identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new shipper accounts.The position is designed for sales professionals who thrive on prospecting, closing new accounts, and expanding freight spend with shippers. Success in this role comes from consistently generating new opportunities, winning new customers, and developing long-term freight relationships.This role does not manage a sales team. It is focused on individual production, new customer acquisition, shipper development, and revenue generation.What You Will DoOwn the full sales cycle from prospecting through close and ongoing account growthProactively identify, target, and secure new shipper customers through outbound prospecting and market developmentProspect and develop new shipper relationships through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and industry connectionsBuild and manage your own pipeline of freight opportunities across truckload, LTL, consolidation, and brokerage services. Close new business and expand freight spend within your customer accountsDesign transportation solutions that optimize service levels, cost, and shipping efficiency for customersPartner with pricing and operations teams to develop competitive proposals and service strategiesNegotiate freight rates, service agreements, and long-term contracts with customersMaintain accurate pipeline tracking, activity reporting, and forecasting within CRMConduct regular business reviews with customers to grow wallet share and long-term partnershipsConsistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targetsPerformance ExpectationsThis is a high-performance sales role focused on new business acquisition.Success in this role includesConsistently generating new opportunities through outbound prospectingBuilding a strong pipeline of freight opportunitiesClosing new shipper accountsGrowing freight revenue within your customer portfolioMeeting or exceeding defined revenue and sales activity targetsWhat We Are Looking For2–5+ years of logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage sales experienceProven success in prospecting and closing new businessExperience selling truckload, LTL, brokerage, or multi-modal transportation solutionsStrong negotiation, relationship-building, and consultative selling skillsSelf-driven, competitive sales professional who thrives in a performance-based environmentAbility to operate independently and take ownership of revenue resultsExperience using CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar platformsPreferredExisting network of shipper relationshipsExperience building and managing a personal book of freight businessCompensation and EarningsBase salary: $75,000 – $100,000 based on experienceUncapped commission structure tied directly to revenue and performanceHigh earning potential for top performersOpportunity to build and grow a long-term book of businessIf you are a driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, finding and winning new shipper accounts, and controlling your earning potential through performance, this is an opportunity to grow a strong freight portfolio while earning uncapped commission.This position is based in-office at our HQ location in Bolingbrook, IL.This role is not eligible for remote work or relocation assistance.
