Service Foreman
Dowbuilt is hiring a Service Foreman to support our Service Superintendents. This position is responsible for executing a variety of projects within client occupied, high-end residences, at the highest standards of quality in the industry. Dowbuilt foremen within the service department are professional, skilled craftspeople who communicate exceptionally, plan and manage time effectively across multiple projects, and collaborate with a wide variety of people inside and outside of the company.What You’ll DoAs a service foreman, you’ll be responsible for:Performing all assigned work to the highest standard of workmanship and quality; collaborating with superintendentsPerforming routine preventative maintenance to ensure that our clients’ homes run smoothly Proactively identifying areas in need of repair; inspecting and diagnosing problems as neededSupervising and assisting subcontractors to ensure safe operations, productivity, and quality of workManaging subcontractor performance and behavior onsiteMaintaining a safe, secure, clean and organized work area; ensuring tools and equipment are maintained and stored properly; maintaining security and privacy of our clients and information at all timesPlanning and managing weekly schedule; maintaining a current calendar and identify personal schedule gaps in advance; proactively reaching out to superintendents to ensure sufficient workProcuring materials and supplies for service projects; submitting material purchases with appropriate job numbersPreparing daily field reports with hours, providing a recap of the service work that was performedEstablishing and cultivating professional and personal contacts in the building industryCleaning and maintaining company service vehicleWhat You Need To SucceedTo be successful as a Dowbuilt service foreman, you’ll need:At least 3 years of residential construction experience (high-end preferred)Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 and CPR / First Aid certifications; focus on safety and security of self, employees, clientsPossesses working knowledge of:all phases of carpentrybuilding codes and permit requirementsoperation and basic troubleshooting of home mechanical, electrical and plumbing systemsfine finish care and maintenance practicesBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applicationsValid driver’s license and clean driving record; driving a company vehicle is required for this positionProfessional and succinct communication skillsThe ability to listen actively, follow instructions, take notes, ask for help, and suggest solutionsThe drive to learn, develop skills, and share knowledge with othersThe ability to collaborate and problem solve with othersComposure when stressed or facing difficult objectivesConfidentiality of client and company proprietary informationProfessional demeanor and appearanceU.S. work authorizationWhat We OfferWe are a fun, easygoing bunch of professionals who take a lot of pride in the work we do.
