This role requires a strong background in accounting principles, financial analysis, and industry-specific knowledge.Hourly Commitment: 10 to 15 hours per weekResponsibilitiesProvide expert advice on accounting standards and financial regulations specific to the construction industry. Analyze financial statements and reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support strategic decision-making. Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with project managers to track project costs, revenues, and profitability. Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders. Stay updated with the latest developments in accounting standards and industry regulations. RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry-specific practices. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Preferred QualificationsExperience with ERP systems and project accounting. Knowledge of construction contracts, revenue recognition, and cost management. Certification in project management or related areas. Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance for the construction industry.
