Truck Driver
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible for loading and shipping product to meet Anchor Ingredients food quality standards, while ensuring the day-to-day operational needs are done in a safe and timely manner. This position will prep, stage and load hopper bottom trailers and then drive transfer truck between Anchor owned and customer facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transload Operations
Be able to safely and efficiently stage and load hopper bottom/pneumatic trailers
Safely hook and drop trailers, ensuring no damage is taking place during these activities
Work within daily assignments of loads needed, coordinating with plant personnel
Seal and document all loaded trailers, submitting paperwork and product retain samples
Be able to work between facilities transferring product
Scale, ensure correct product, quantity and destination
Ensure correct paperwork and retain sample for proper documentation
Understand workflows to reduce wait times where possible
Be part of the team
This position supports the overall production of multiple facilities
Must be able to work with onsite supervisors to ensure proper schedule
Must be able to work with other scale house and process operators
Promote Anchor Ingredients and our brand while on customer location
Support your teammates and other plant personnel
Housekeeping
Clean up any mess before going home for the day ensuring no personal belongings or garbage is left at workstations or other shared common areas such as company owned semi-trucks
Put tools back in their places after each use
Ensure clean and fit uniform to help support the brand and image of Anchor Ingredients
General
Communicate breakdowns to our Maintenance team and Supervisor
Utilize all members of the team to accomplish tasks, holding yourself and others accountable for duties performed.
Ask for help when needed. Effectively communicate on your schedule throughout the day
Prioritize employee and food safety first
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
High school diploma or equivalent
Hold a valid Class A CDL license to drive Semi Truck and Trailer
Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships
Ability to:
lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
stand for extended periods of time
work in dust
open traps on trailers/trucks
work in extreme heat/cold
work in confined spaces
work at significant heights
