Assistant Project Manager (W/WW) (Costa Mesa)

Assistant Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer – Water & Wastewater ConstructionWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This individual will play a key role in managing project execution from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with project managers, superintendents, owners, engineers, and subcontractors.The ideal candidate will have experience on self-perform water/wastewater treatment plant projects including concrete structures, underground utilities, process mechanical piping, and equipment installation.ResponsibilitiesSupport overall project execution including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, subcontract management, and client coordinationManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentationAssist with project cost tracking, forecasting, and monthly reportingCoordinate with field teams to ensure work is progressing safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract documentsWork closely with owners, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to resolve technical and construction issuesHelp manage procurement and delivery of long-lead process equipment and materialsParticipate in project planning, sequencing, and scheduling effortsSupport quality control, commissioning, and project closeout activitiesMentor junior engineers and help drive project team performanceQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field4+ years of experience for Senior Project Engineer candidates6+ years of experience for Assistant Project Manager candidatesStrong background in water/wastewater treatment plant construction preferredExperience with self-perform concrete, piping, mechanical, or underground utility scopesKnowledge of scheduling software, cost control, and project management systemsStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environmentPreferred ExperienceWater Treatment Plants (WTP)Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP)Pump StationsCMAR and Design-Build delivery methodsProcess mechanical piping and equipment installationPublic works and municipal infrastructure projectsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salaryBonus opportunitiesVehicle allowance or company vehicleComprehensive benefits package401(k) with company matchLong-term growth opportunities within a leading water infrastructure contractor
