Company Description The Cultural Activities Center (CAC) is a Central Texas arts hub dedicated to providing visual and performing arts experiences for people of all ages. Located in Temple, TX, the CAC features four art galleries, music concerts, theater and dance performances, art classes, and children’s interactive programs. The organization supports both emerging and established artists while engaging the community through diverse cultural events. CAC’s mission is to foster creativity, education, and community connection through accessible arts programming.Role Description The Director of Operations & Finance is a full-time, on-site role based in Temple, TX, responsible for overseeing daily operational and financial activities at the Cultural Activities Center. This role manages budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow, and compliance, while overseeing day-to-day operations ensuring smooth coordination across programs, events and facility use. The director will lead and support staff, contractors, and volunteers to ensure effective scheduling, coordination, and delivery of programs. The role also collaborates with the Executive Director on strategic planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement of organizational systems and policies.QualificationsStrong operations management skills, including process improvement, workflow coordination, and facility oversight.Proficient analytical skills to interpret financial data, track performance metrics, and support data-informed decisions.Team management experience, with the ability to lead, coach, and develop staff.Budgeting skills, including creating, managing, and monitoring annual budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.Customer service skills to ensure positive experiences for artists, patrons, community partners, and vendors.Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, arts administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Experience with accounting or financial management software (Quickbooks Online) and proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools.Background in nonprofit, arts, or cultural organizations is preferred, along with familiarity with fundraising or grant reporting.Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to manage multiple priorities on-site.Available to work some evenings and weekends.
