They have worked on projects for well-known brands and have co-founded startups. With skills in UX, UI, mobile app development, full-stack web development, and cloud technologies, they are dedicated to supporting innovation and mentoring the team.What you will do:Lead and mentor the backend teamDesign, develop, test, and implement new featuresMaintain and support our applications and websitesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketingListen to and understand customer needs to inform product roadmapsPropose methods and process improvements to increase developer efficiencyHandle requirements gathering for incoming requestsWrite complex database queries and stored proceduresDebug and troubleshoot platform issuesConduct code reviewsManage utility servers (e.g., SFTP, proxies)Skills you bring:5+ years of experience in Python (Django/Django REST framework); experience with other backend frameworks (e.g., GoFiber, Express) is a plusProficiency with cloud technologiesExperience leading or mentoring engineering teamsBackground in IT startups or IT companies is a plusRecommended Profile:Open-minded with healthy life values, proactive, reliable, courteous, creative, team-oriented, and flexibleCommitted to the volunteer position, understanding the role is unpaid and success is not guaranteedAn expert in your domain but ready to wear multiple hatsFamiliar with our technical stack: Python (Django/Django REST), JavaScript (React/Next), TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWSTotal Rewards:Work with a diverse, multinational team of experienced professionalsMake a meaningful impact on international causesGrow both professionally and emotionallyEnjoy the flexibility of working remotely from anywhere in the world
