Outpatient Mental Health Supervisor
DescriptionPURPOSE:The Program Supervisor of Out Patient Mental Health (OPMH) is responsible for daily operational oversight and performance of their respective program(s). Success will be primarily measured through three core data points: financial performance data, staff retention/engagement data, and program outcomes/quality data. The Program Supervisor is expected to model principles of the Leadership Pipeline as a Leader of Others.Primary ResponsibilitiesProactive coaching and feedback to ensure professional development and growth of direct reportsSetting programmatic objectives, defining roles, and prioritizing tasks for direct reportsEffective proactive communication in all directions (up, down, sideways) to ensure program needs are metRecruit, interview and selection of top tier talent for their program staffConduct thorough and well-documented assessments of direct reports performanceProactively address performance issues and replace team members who consistently fall short of delivering on their objectivesCreate an open and trusting environment where teamwork and collaboration is valuedCompliance with the agency Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process to ensure program data and outcome goals are metEnsure internal and external standards are met regarding records, documentation and general services providedCoordinate and liaison with internal and external stakeholders to represent the program and its needsAct as a role model across the organization for other staff regarding professionalism, positivity and teamworkRespond and address to any client/parent/guardian complains/concernsLeadership Values, Time Application And Skills/CompetenciesLeaders of others should primarily value: getting results through others (instead of doing themselves), judging success by the success of direct reports and the unit, and displaying visible integrity at all times.Leaders of others should spend the majority of their time on the following: annual planning, making time for direct reports, performance management, developing their team and recruitment.Leaders of other’s skills that they must display to be successful at this level include: planning, job design, delegating, coaching/giving feedback, performance management, creating rewards and motivation, and communicating/climate setting in their programs. RequirementsPOSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing and privileging standards as it pertains to the program(s) they lead. Education requirements for a leader of others in programs is a Master’s degree. Supervisory experience preferred.As a Leader of Others, this role’s minimum qualifications are:Verified 3 years of work experience as a high performing individual contributor in a related fieldExposure to leadership/management experiences either through short term project management, coordination, training or actual leadership positionsDisplays the capacity/coachability for future growth and development as a leader If your qualifications meet the requirements of the job and you want to be part of a winning culture, don’t delay…..
