IT Federal Sales Director

OverviewLocation: Washington, DCAll the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.The Federal Business Director balances the sales engagement, business development, and federal strategy for GST. This individual needs to understand all of the functional aspects of developing a business unit/group. The role is accountable of the Fed team's performance and serves as a leader within the sales organization. He or she must have past experience in developing a business group/unit, extensive knowledge with federal clients/projects, work independently, and be self-motivated.Job FunctionsDefine and execute federal sales strategy to meet sales and margin targets.Develop and sale into specific federal accounts.Develop territory sales plan and prospect new opportunities.Closely manage dealers, distributors, and OEM accounts and establish strong multi-tier relationships within each organization.Must take ownership of customer problems to ensure definitive resolutionIdentify opportunities for additional resources, vendor products, and technical servicesSubmit sales projection and quarterly business review reports to managementPreferred Skills/QualificationsBachelor\'s degreeExperience with the Federal industry and businessContract experienceIndustry and vendor certificationsProven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals7+ years federal experience7+ years management experienceOutstanding ability to multitask and balance competing prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteCompensation & BenefitsMedical/Dental/Vision401K PlanVacationCompany perksAbout GST
