Network Engineer
Network Engineer (Cisco / LAN-WAN)The Network Engineer is responsible for configuring, supporting, and monitoring a multi-site Cisco-based network environment. This role focuses on day-to-day LAN and WAN operations across six locations, ensuring secure, reliable connectivity and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure and support Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls (FPR / Firepower Threat Defense, ASA).Monitor and tune LAN and WAN environments using SolarWinds.Support Layer 2 access switching and Layer 3 core networking.Manage inter-site connectivity using MPLS, BGP, and secure tunnels.Administer firewalls, VPNs (site-to-site and remote), and VLANs.Maintain strict network security controls (no BYOD; segmented networks).Support enterprise Wi-Fi infrastructure across all sites.Work within ServiceNow for incident, change, and request management.Coordinate with telecom providers and carriers as needed.Support lifecycle refreshes and ongoing infrastructure improvements.Environment HighlightsSix-site environment (five primary, one satellite).Large production facility with core switching, fiber, Ethernet, and point-to-point wireless.Segmented networks for operational systems (no cross-communication).Redundant WAN connectivity at most locations.QualificationsStrong Cisco networking experience (LAN, WAN, firewalls).Hands-on experience with SolarWinds and ServiceNow.WAN, MPLS, BGP, and VPN experience required.Cisco certifications strongly preferred.J-18808-Ljbffr
