Oncology Physician Assistant

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Piedmont Physicians Medical Oncology Practice at Piedmont Newton. This is a Monday-Friday position with inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.In this role you will:Evaluate follow up patients in the ambulatory clinic and treat patients to achieve optimal patient careWrite progress notes; prepare patient summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findingsConduct consultations and round on oncology patients in the hospitalAssist with service development by participating in meetings when needed and working collaboratively with leadershipMust be willing to assist with rooming patients and/or triaging calls when necessaryChampion hospital-based servicesContributes to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting and provides leadership to the organizationAssist with practice call as neededPiedmont Benefits:Generous CME allowanceCompetitive compensation401k with matchEPICQuality, Service and Reputation Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications1-2 years of oncology experience with a high degree of clinical judgmentMasters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification or Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification
