Mechanic for Construction Equipment

Job Description We are a small construction company in New London, NC seeking a reliable and experienced part time mechanic to join our team. We take pride in maintaining a safe, efficient fleet and are looking for someone who can help keep our equipment running at peak performance.Key Responsibilities:• Inspect, diagnose, and repair construction equipment and machinery• Perform routine maintenance and preventative service• Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems• Basic fabrication and welding as needed• Maintain accurate service records and reports• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standardsQualifications:• Proven experience as a heavy equipment or construction mechanic• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components• Ability to read and interpret schematics and service manuals• Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred• Valid driver's license (CDL a plus)• Ability to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical Requirements:• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions• Ability to stand, bend, and work in tight spacesThis position will be part time with approximately 20-30 hours per week and located in New London, NC.
