Job Purpose AIMS serves as a skills and support day program. The AIMS Rehab Counselor II at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER facilitates consumers in the AIMS Program in their recovery; assist in the achievement of their maximum recovery, and independence in life. Key Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address substance abuse and mental health issues. Monitor and evaluate clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Educate clients and their families about substance abuse, mental health, and available community resources. Stay informed about the latest developments in substance abuse counseling and mental health treatment. Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the community and healthcare systems. Support clients in developing coping strategies and life skills to enhance their recovery and prevent relapse.
