Tempus' proprietary platform connects an entire ecosystem of real-world evidence to deliver real-time, actionable insights to physicians, providing critical information about the right treatments for the right patients, at the right time.What You’ll DoProvide daily oversight of a cutting-edge molecular workflow to provide high-quality next-generation sequencing data with rapid turnaround timesMonitor laboratory processes to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained, to include review of quality control, instrument and equipment maintenance, and other quality assurance activitiesAssure all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specificationsPerform quality review for samples within the sequencing workflow from extraction to sequencing.Maintain CLIA/ CAP/ NYSDOH compliance Schedule training and competency assessments for personnelMentor team of clinical molecular technologists and extraction technologistsMaintain safety within the laboratory and ensure all safety protocols are followed.Utilize automation and robotics to standardize the discovery pipeline from sample acquisition to sequencing outputSchedule training and onboarding for new hiresQualificationsMust have:One of the following educational requirements:MD + 1 year clinical lab experiencePhD (physical, chemical, or biological science) + 1 years clinical lab experienceMS (physical, chemical, or biological science) + 2 years pertinent clinical lab experience BS (physical, chemical, or biological science) + 4 years of pertinent clinical lab experienceExcellent communication skillsAbility to delegate tasks to othersThrives in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work with others to plan and carry out scientific programsSelf-driven and works well in an interdisciplinary team with minimal directionStrong desire to build products that will save lives and change the course of cancerImpeccable attention to detailHighly DesirableExperience with next-generation sequencingExperience supervising othersWork in a CLIA/CAP high-complexity laboratoryExperience with robotics and automated liquid handling systemsKnowledge of LIMS platforms and various computer systemsCandidates must be able to work the assigned shift (3rd shift). Please note that shift assignment is based on technical level, experience, and current business needs.Current Available ShiftsSun-Thur, 11:00P - 730ATue-Sat, 11:00P - 7:30ACHI: $60,000-$80,000The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience.
