Product Manager Kansas City, Missouri- ON SITE POSITION Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000/year Schedule: Monday-Friday: 7:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. Join Our Team at Comet Industries! Comet Industries is looking for a Product Manager to lead the lifecycle of integrated hardware and cloud-based products for the railroad industry. This role bridges engineering, operations, and customer needs. You would be driving innovation in industrial IoT and automation. Product Manager Responsibilities: Own and execute product roadmap for wayside hardware and cloud platform Define and prioritize features based on customer needs and industry trends Lead cross-functional development across hardware, software, and manufacturing teams Coordinate product launches, technical documentation, and sales support Conduct field visits to gather customer insights and validate usability Track performance metrics and customer satisfaction Represent Comet at industry events and customer meetings Other duties as assigned Product Manager Requirements: Bachelor’s degree of 10+ years of relevant experience 3+ years in technical product management (railroad or industrial IoT preferred) Strong understanding of hardware-software systems, wireless tech, and cloud platforms Familiairty with AAR, FRA, AREMA standards and railroad operations Excellent communication and project management skills Experience with Agile tools (Asana preferred) Experience with AEI/RFID tracking or embedded systems Background in transportation, logistics, or automation Knowledge of APIs, ERP systems, and data analytics Willingness to travel and work in field/industrial environments as needed Product Manager Work Conditions: Office Work- Product planning, meetings, documentation Field Work- Railroad site visits for customer research Travel- Customer meetings, trade shows, industry events Warehouse- Product testing, inventory review, team collaboration Comet Industries is an equal opportunity employer.
