Web Developer* (26.27)
Overview
In this role you will design, develop, and maintain HPWS web applications for USAFSAM, collaborating with program office and government stakeholders. You will build secure, scalable solutions using ColdFusion, Oracle and SQL Server databases, and modern web technologies, while ensuring DoD and HIPAA compliance and accessibility standards. You’ll contribute across the full SDLC, from requirements through deployment, and help document, train, and support users. This is a mission-driven opportunity to deliver impactful, compliant web systems in a federal context.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain HPWS web applications using Adobe ColdFusion, Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL), HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQueryDevelop new modules and enhance existing functionality per HPWS coding standardsWrite clean, maintainable, well-documented codeCollaborate with USAFSAM and HPWS Program Office to gather requirements and document system designDesign, build, and optimize Oracle and SQL Server databases (tables, views, procedures, functions, triggers, sequences)Create complex SQL queries and perform secure remote maintenanceProduce technical documentation: functional requirements, system design, ERDs, test and deployment plans, user guidesParticipate in all SDLC phases and coordinate application releasesEnsure DoD RMF, DoD cybersecurity, Air Force IA policies, HIPAA and Privacy Act complianceDevelop training materials and conduct user demonstrations/trainingSupport end users with enhancements and change requestsParticipate in code reviews and implement improvementsComplete government training related to cybersecurity, HIPAA, OPS, records management and IACommunicate project status to government stakeholdersWork independently or in teams to meet deadlines
Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field with four years of experience in Adobe ColdFusion and Oracle databases; or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with six years of relevant web development experience; or Postsecondary education with eight years of relevant web development experienceExperience developing web applications with Adobe ColdFusion, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQueryExperience with Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft SQL Server T-SQLExperience designing and maintaining Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server relational databasesExperience creating and modifying database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, sequences)Experience developing complex SQL queriesExperience using JavaScript/jQuery, including AJAXExperience performing systems analysis and reverse engineering of existing applicationsExperience participating in all SDLC phasesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsexcellent written and verbal communication skillscollaboration with cross-functional and government stakeholdersproblem-solving and analytical thinkingAdobe ColdFusionHTMLCSS
